Solidify your Spanish language skills through language coursework, then take upper-division courses taught in Spanish. You’ll take at least one course in each of the following key areas: Spanish peninsular 文学 and culture, 拉丁美洲文学和文化, 拉丁文学和文化, 和西班牙语言学. (可选), students with a strong GPA in their Spanish coursework may prepare a capstone project or do an internship under the supervision of a professor and receive course credit for that work.
- Comprehend narrative and descriptive (written and oral) texts of any length.
- Demonstrate narration and description with detail in the major time frames of past, 西班牙语中的现在和将来.
- Demonstrate cultural awareness of the specificity of the different areas of study.
- Analyze and comprehend linguistic manifestations of the Spanish-speaking world.

西班牙语专业学生, 文学, and culture are encouraged to immerse themselves in Spanish culture. What better way to do this than to study abroad in 西班牙? 整整一个学期, 雪城的学生可以活下去, learn and even pursue internships at the University’s center in Madrid, 西班牙. Syracuse professors living in Madrid offer coursework that is infused with Spanish cuisine and art.
锡拉丘兹圣地亚哥
Students interested in studying abroad in Santiago, 智利, can choose from multiple programs in Santiago and the surrounding area. Some will choose to study among peers from Syracuse at the University’s center in Santiago, where courses are taught either in English or Spanish. Advanced language students are required to pursue deeper cultural immersion and language practice by also traveling to Buenos Aires for an immersion trip during their semester in Santiago.
